Here, I have some examples taken from "Young Indiana Jones" Chapter 16:
At first, you can see screenshots from the UK version. Hover the mouse pointer over a screenshot, and another version appears, which is taken from my own conversion. (It is a private copy not released anywhere).
Clearly visible is the difference in colors and detail, which is edited during the conversion. The RC1 DVDs have a similar look to the RC2, but in this particular case, not all was lost as you can see.
What you can't see in these pictures: The RC2 conversion doesn't even use a PAL speedup. Not even Inverse Telecine was applied, so it is rather jerky throughout, and it has a lot of interlacing artefacts completely unnecessary.
